Hey Tom, I just joined up. It's a great thing you're doing and congrats on being a "proud parent". Parenting is the toughest job in the world with no vacations,retirements,or pensions!
I also loved STARSHIP TROOPERS by Robert Heinlen (although I was disappointed with STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND). The book was better than the movie. Heinlen had some really great insights into military service as a prerequistite to citizenship-voting being the ultimate power-which the lefties denounced as "fascism" (their favorite word).But you and I know from history almost all civilizations required military service-in ancient Rome, the greatest emperors had been soldiers and the nutcases (Caligula & Nero) civilians. Nothing against civilians, I am one myself, but you get the idea.
Anyway, it's something I try to teach my students (college & high school) about how spoiled Americans are today in an instant gratification society.

Thank you Tom. This guy is a crook and he is trying every inconceivable way of keeping me from being elected. I really have to be careful because he has the political experience and friends who know how to screw over a candidate .. in my case .. they have to dream crap up and so this should be quite an adventure. I didn't know how crooked politics worked until recently, scary. Thank you for your support.
